If I could go back again
My mind has been wandering
To what I could have been
If I hadn't gone off the deep end
It's hard to put into words
What I would do
People living on the edge
People living in their heads
Yeah I know
The whole world would have opened up to me
It would have been mine
Like a fantasy
Oh who would I be...
If I wasn't me
If I could go back again
I'd forgive myself and move on
Comforting feeling like a sailor's song
Everything's going to be ok
Sailing away
Songwriting is one of my escapes from the world. It is a positive outlet that helps me stay sober. It is so much better than the alternative. With over 20 years of sobriety, I have learned how to live life on life's terms without escaping into drugs and alcohol. My music tells the story.
Did some recording in Nashville last year with Buddy Hyatt and crew...
One of the greatest things to come out of my sobriety is the creation of music. Yes, instead of drinking in excess, waking up hungover not remembering what the heck I did the night before, I get to be in the studio with some of the best people in the business. Writing, singing and being part of of an amazing creative atmosphere. This is what I love to do. I am looking forward to sharing the stories and music of my life and others. I write about love, heartache, recovery, and overcoming obstacles that so many of us face as human beings. We are not perfect. We are fallible, but resilient. We are survivors...
Be the first to hear about new music and sober stuff!
